So far there is good and bad to be said about the Acolyte. The Good: 1. More multi-species force traditions. 2. Female ZABRAKs ( No the witches of Dathomir were NEVER the female of the zabrak species). 3. More Wookiee Jedi. 4. Live action Selkath, Selkath Jedi? 5. Killing the jedi through multitasking and distraction... That is HOW order sixty six works. 6. Zygerrian Padawan. I'll give them a pass on this. Everyone can see what they're doing, Deconstructing the notion of "evil races". As long as they saddle the Character with the appropriate amount of cultural baggage, We can let them play this out. (As long as they don't try to recast Lizzo as a Hutt Jedi to "represent body positivity"... That would be a step too far) 7. Chonky jedi boi ( If he is from a Hi-G world) 8. Rashemon references. Kewl to dip into the Kurosawa inspirations, just remember even unreliable narrators must have SOME internal logic and consistency. The Bad: 1. Finally! I’ve been waiting for you to react to this and I’m not disappointed. Aphra inclusion in this fan film was a welcome surprise to me and her interaction with Mara was super fun. I think Mara’s inclusion and interaction with a canon character like Aphra shows how I think Mara Jade could potentially be added into the new canon.

I think the Sith (apprentice I think) may have played a part in both getting the coven exiled, and in causing their death during another tense confrontation with the Jedi who came to collect Osha. He could have also been teaching Mai in secret and knew what was happening so he sabotaged the power generator.

Regarding Indara’s lack of precognition: The one thing that jumps out at me is Yoda’s quote about the Dark Side clouding everything. The Acolyte takes place a scant 100 years before then, and as the Jedi grow more complacent, weaker almost, the Sith and other Dark Side factions are on the rise. I’d like to believe Indara’s not sensing the second knife is kind of a combination of the Jedi hubris and arrogance that leads to their downfall, as well as a sign of their diminishing power in the face of the Dark Side.
